Los Angeles Breast Reconstruction

At his private practice in Los Angeles, Mossi Salibian M.D. specializes in breast reconstruction. Working mainly with women who have undergone a mastectomy due to breast cancer, he understands a woman's desire to move on past that hurdle and continue on with her life healthy, happy, and whole.

What breast reconstruction options does Dr. Salibian offer?

Dr. Salibian offers three breast reconstruction options:

Autologous Reconstruction
Under this falls the muscle sparing free TRAM flap procedure and the DIEP flap procedure. Both use the patient's own tissue (fatty tissue, skin, and in the case of the free TRAM flap, abdominal muscle) to reconstruct the breast. This optimizes the circulation of the newly reconstructed breast and allows for shaping and contouring to match your opposite breast.
Autologous and Implant Combination
The breast is reconstructed using your own tissue as well as an implant.
Implant Reconstruction
The breast is reconstructed using only an implant. The breast implant is placed under the muscles of the chest after a mastectomy. This procedure is performed in stages, the first stage performed at the time of the mastectomy where a tissue expander is inserted underneath the chest muscle to ready the area for the implant, which will be inserted within a few months, replacing the tissue expander.

Dr. Salibian has extensive experience in the complex field of microsurgery. He is able to perform intricate reconstructive surgeries, optimizing the natural look, feel, and shape of the reconstructed breast.

If you are located in the Los Angeles area, contact Dr. Salibian to help with your breast reconstruction. He will treat you with care and help to give you the figure that you desire.
