Teaching, Writing & Volunteer Work
Besides active practical work I spend a great deal of my time teaching residents in surgery and plastic surgery, as well as authoring or co-authoring articles in such peer-reviewed publications as Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, and Cellular Immunology. I have also volunteered my expertise by performing reconstructive plastic surgery for children with congenital facial defects and burn contractures in Guatemala.
