FDA Says Mentor's Silicone Implants "Approvable With Conditions"
PST2 After restricting their use for 13 years, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) moved a step closer to allowing silicone breast implants to return to market. Following the advice of its advisory panel, the FDA sent a letter to Mentor Corporation regarding its silicone implants deeming the devices "approvable with conditions," meaning that the company must satisfy a number of conditions before the FDA approves their return to market.
