Dr. Salibian is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon in private practice at the Sunset Medical Tower located on Sunset Boulevard at the cusp of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Dr. Salibian specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, breast and body for women and men. He is certified both by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Salibian attended Boston University School of Medicine and completed his formative residency training in general surgery and plastic surgery in New York. He then furthered his education and technical skills in microsurgery as a Fellow in Oncologic Reconstructive Microsurgery at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. In the reconstructive arena of plastic surgery, Dr. Salibian has established a niche in reconstructive breast surgery for recovering breast cancer patients and those who require surgical revisions due to previously unsatisfactory cosmetic and/or reconstructive results. Dr. Salibian is an attending Plastic Surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is an active member of the multidisciplinary breast expert team at the Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center there. Dr. Salibian also has active privileges at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Century City Doctor’s Hospital in Century City and at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.
Dr. Salibian enjoys teaching residents in surgery and plastic surgery. As Chief resident in surgery he was awarded the Golden Apple Award for surgical teaching. Dr. Salibian has authored and co-authored numerous articles in such peer-reviewed publications as Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, and Cellular Immunology. He has given talks and presentations at local and national scientific meetings and at grand rounds at various hospitals. Dr. Salibian has also volunteered his expertise to the less fortunate and performed reconstructive plastic surgery for children with congenital facial defects and burn contractures in Guatemala.
With an all-encompassing quality of care as a cornerstone of his practice philosophy, Dr. Salibian addresses the whole patient not just body parts. He capitalizes on the individual characteristics of his patients and designs each of his procedures to best fit their specific needs and enhance each person’s singular beauty and charm. He possesses a highly cultivating eye in aesthetics paralleled with a pair of skillful hands brings about dramatic changes in his patients.
